Christmas Song (Demo) ~
This was written in 2005 when a church I had been going to for 5 years asked if I wanted to play a Christmas song for the yearly program they were doing. I told them I wasn't into Christmas songs, but would write one. I cried when I wrote this the night before the dress rehearsal and when I played it that night, people were tearing up & some were even crying. The person in charge came up all wide eyed and asked if she could have the lyrics because she wanted to have them on the huge screen in the sanctuary. The night I played it was hard because I was tearing up because the song was about my life. I choked up as I walked off the stage & looked into a dozen wet eyes off the stage. Again, half the people in the crowd of 200 were tearing up or literally in tears. The song still gets to me. I've never completed the song with bass, drums, piano, etc. Maybe I will one day...
